There are numerous Thermowell options available. They are typically installed in piping systems and subject to both hydrostatic and aerodynamic forces. It is important to choose the correct thermowell for your instrument and process.

N.B. Use a pocket or thermowell to protect your temperature instruments from process systems where pressure, velocity, or viscous, abrasive and corrosive materials are present. A thermowell allows safer removal of an instrument at the time of replacement, repair or testing without affecting the process system.

Teltherm bar stock thermowell bodies are machined and drilled from solid bar stock resulting in a non-welded water tight unit. High accuracy machines are used to ensure concentricity of the bore with respect to the outside diameter and a consistent wall thickness over the full length of the thermowell.
