The SD018 thermocouple probe is available with a ceramic sheath, holding tube and large head for easy on site wiring to the process indicator. Standard probe stem lengths are 6" (150 mm) or 9" (225 mm).

Type K wire is a general purpose, high temperature (-270~1372 °C) wire suitable for use in an oxidising environment.

Type R thermocouples use a platinum-rhodium alloy containing 13% rhodium for one conductor and pure platinum for the other conductor. Type R thermocouples are used up to 1600 °C.
